Mark Johnson is The Economist's South-East Asia correspondent, writing about business and politics throughout the region. Before moving to Singapore, he covered technology, business and environmental issues from London; prior to that he was the newspaper's Community Editor, developing interactive features on Economist.com and on social networks.

Mr Johnson began his career working in digital strategy for HarperCollins, a book publisher. He is a regular speaker at events about journalism, digital publishing and international affairs.
